Valerie H. Johnson is a boomer with a very dry sense of humor.  She is married to a wonderful man and they have two adult daughters and two cats.  Valerie is also a caregiver for her 82 year old God-sister who she moved from Philadelphia to live with her in Georgia.

Where Is Valerie From?

She has lived in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Delaware and now in Georgia.  This should be her last move unless she ages to the point where she needs a caregiver and one of her daughters move her again.

What Does She Enjoy?

Blogging, training, cooking, planning and organizing events, reading and entertaining small intimate groups of friends.

Why Did Valerie Start this Blog?

This blog is kind of an experiment.  She is going to wait and see how people find this blog.  She is not going to tell her friends about it and she is not sending out an e-mail blast.  She may add a link to her other sites, but that’s it.

Valerie started blogging in 2008 and has two niche blogs – A Caregivers Journal and Your Ministry Helper.  This blog is just for fun.  It’s a way for her to talk about things that are not appropriate for her other blogs.  And, it’s a way to meet other people who aren’t necessarily interested in caregiving or ministry.

What Else Does Valerie Do?

Valerie works part-time in ministry.  She makes a little extra income from her Splish Splash Boutique website and she makes gift baskets.  She teaches Bible Study on occasion and does ministry workshops on request.

What Kind of Training Does Valerie Have?

Valerie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Education and completed a certificate program in Event Planning.  She also has an Associates Degree in Office Administration.

How Is Valerie A Little Quirky?

Even though her degree is in Bible, Valerie’s favorite books to read are murder mysteries and espionage.  She is an introvert but she is not shy.  She would rather watch the Godfather (Part I) than a chick flick.
