Father’s Day at Our House

I waited five weeks for Father’s Day in the Johnson House.  In an earlier blog post, Our Two Daughters, I talked about the Mother’s Day shenanigans between our two daughters.  So I waited for Father’s Day with baited breath.  As usual, it was quite entertaining.

This time Nichole sent her own card.  According to Nichole, she told Anita that she would buy her own card this year and send it to Fred.  When the card came, it was signed: “From your first and favorite (shh . . . don’t tell the other one).” Unfortunately for Anita, she didn’t see the card until Sunday.  According to Anita, Nichole was supposed to send a card from both of them.  I don’t know if they had a failure to communicate, or if Nikki was getting even with Anita for Mother’s Day.

HOWEVER, not to be outdone, Anita was in charge of getting their joint gift.  You guessed it, Anita said the gift was from her, then she asked Fred, “What did your other daughter (the trifling one) get you for Father’s Day?”

As a side note:  my gift to Fred was control of the big screen tv and the remote control for the entire day.  So it was golf all day long.

For the record, I did not try to sabatoge Nita and leave her name off the card. Huge communication problem. I fight dirty, but not that dirty.
