My sister and I share in purchasing gifts for Mom. I like for us to pick our own cards. This year I could not compete...my sister gave Mom an all paid trip to Italy. Mom's elated. Now that is a hard one to beat on a teacher's salary with possibility of 2% cut. I spoke with Mom today trying to decide where I'm going for summer vacation and she says, I have to watch my spending, I have to have spending money for Italy. I asked her did she get my e-mail in regards to selecting a weekend to see "The Color Purple"? She reminded me again, she have to watch her spending. How long is this going to last?
