Atlanta Food Bloggers Bake Sale

Today I participated in the Atlanta Food Blogger Bake Sale that was held in Ansley Mall in front of Cooks Warehouse.  This  annual event, held across the country, is sponsored by Share Our Strength.  All proceeds from the bake sale go to feed hungry children.  Last year the Atlanta sales generated over $4000.  This year is already off to a great start and hopefully will even exceed last year’s total.

A great big thank you to Tami Hardeman from Running With Tweezers for coordinating this event.

This was my first time participating in the sale and I’m already looking forward to next year so I can clear up my calendar and participate to a greater extent.  Being among such seasoned foodies was a great experience and a little intimidating.  Seeing what everyone had to offer, how they packaged their goodies and marketed themselves was more than worth the trip.  Of course the most impressive thing is seeing all the goods donated for such a worthy cause.

P1010552 Sensatiables by Tracy Allen.  I bought her Lemon Basil Banana Pepper Jam and Strawberry Balsamic Jam.

P1010557 My little 7-Up Pound Cakes and apple cinnamon cupcakes.

P1010559 I bought one of Chris Arpante’s lemon bars – OMG delish!  She also had cupcakes.

P1010556 Tara Raun from Saucy Mouth had brownies.

P1010553 P1010554

Donations from Pure Knead, Saucy Spirits and Lisa knows Tea.

Of course, there were many, many donations and participants that I didn’t get pictures of their goodies.  I’m sure if you check some of these links later in the week, you’ll find more of them pictured.  If you missed the bake sale this year, I hope you will plan to attend next year.
